I just use soap and water, and some elbow gease. For the inside I would get some wheels cleaner and a brush to scrub that part and get rid of any brake dust thats built up. Those wheels are clear coated so just some wax should shine them up if there not too bad. I usally wax my wheels once a month.

Unless you took the factory clear coat off them. There is not much you can do but wash and clean the clean coat. That is another reason I took the clear off my Y2K wheels.

All 17" WS6 rims that came on a car from the factory were polished. At one time SLP was selling chrome ones. If yours came on your car from GM then they are 100% polished with a clear coat.

The problem with that, is it will eat clear coat. So you would have to be very very careful not to get it on any of the polished parts of the wheel. I dont remember if the back of the wheel is clear coated or not. I know on my Y2K's they are mirror polish inside and out and clear inside and out. If you have some metal polish try that to see if they are cleared in the back or not first You could use a simple green and water misture. Only use brakeclean as a last option.

Just get some kind of wheel cleaner first like the Meguiars stuff. Start with the lighter stuff than work your way up to something stronger like simple green. You don't want to go too far and take the chance of damaging the clear coat first shoot.

I use mopar (eeek) wheel and polish cleaner. I have a friend who works at a dealership and i get it for free from him. It works better that the mothers or meguiars that i tried in the past, to clean the inside of your wheels they also have a supercleaner that works great, it is made for clearcoats and will not harm them
