Default what good is a 90mm tb if you only have a 75mm lid?

Ok I see all of the new tb and intakes that are 90mm and the maf that is 85 mm but what good are those if you have a lid that is 75-78mm? Going from 75mm to 90mm at the TB dont you lose velocity? I just do not see how you are going to gain in the amount of air going in when you start smaller than you finish with at the intake. What am I missing?

You are not missing anything. TSP does have a 85mm lid to go with the 85mm MAF but its still not 90mm.

Nothing,I picked up .16 in ET and 2.1MPH going from a LS6/PTB to a LSX/90TB with my 75MM lid and Maf.The bigger Maf/lid is only worth about 3RW more...

The inlet restrictions are a cumulative thing. A 90 mm LSX and T/B improve 2 of the 4 restrictions. Just get to them one at a time, each one will make a differance. The more radical the engine the more differance they'll make
