Default slp 85mm maf

has anyone used the 85 mm MAF sensor from slp. is it worth the money. and why is it only 165 dollars, and the other ones out there are around 300-400 dollares, and are only 75, or 80mm. my 2000 TA already has an ls1 motorsports lid, ported tb, and ported maf ends, as well as a thunder racing cam, and slp LT's. should i spend the money, and get the slp MAF sensor.

I had a home ported stock MAF, didn't cost a thing. I bought a SLP 85MM,,,, didn't pick up squat,,, nada,,, zip,,, ziltch. I can swap them at the track and see no difference in mph. Would not buy another.

I bought a GMAF 85mm. I have 90mmTPIS TB and LSX90mm. Went with it to match my set-up. I`m sure the extra flow for my set-up was worth it!

No. Do not spend the money on the MAF until you step up to a FAST 90/90mm TB and Intake (if ever). Use your hard earned money on something else. On your setup, the stock MAF is more than good enough.

Retune picked you up 4 tenths, not the MAF. MAF is a MAF.
Aftermarket MAFs just lean you out a bit. On a stock car, the leaning helps you pick up some power. It's a simple trick.

I can't see any reason to buy it unless you are running the 90mm setup. Why have a 78mm TB pullling air through a 85mm maf that comes from a 78mm lid?
