Well, no TH-400 conversion for me this year so I'm stuck rebuilding what I have. Should I do the Vacuum Modulator kit or not? Also, do these work ok with larger cams? I'll probrably run something like the new TSP 233/239 on a 112 LSA.
Thanks,
Andrew

I wouldn't have one rebuilt without it. Get the computer out of the linepressure business ;)

Ok, then the vacuum modulator is a deffinate. What about 5 pinion planetaries? This is a budget build and I'm not sure if I can afford to do both front and rear. So which of the stock planetaries is more prone to breaking? The car shouldn't be making any less than 550 at the wheels and with a 2 stage 225 shot the torque should be up there too.

I recently talked to Dana at Probuilt Transmissions and asked him about the 5 planetary gears he said that the 4 planetary gear are fine. He said that he hasn't had one break yet. I thinking of getone of their rebuild kits and have a friend rebuild my tranny about $550 in parts and about $300 for the rebuild =$850 for a built tranny.

Well, that's good news. Maybe I'll just skip the planetaries. I'm also buying the Probuilt rebuild kit. I'll probrably add the Raybestos Z Pack 3-4 clutches too.
