Default HPE "S" Cam with a 3200 Stall?

Hey all - heads/cam are going to be going in my car soon. Everything I read about HPE is nothing but good. I talked to Chuck yesterday, and after just a very quick discussion about what I have and what I want, he suggested HPE's "S" cam with their stage 3 5.3L heads.

The car is not a daily driver, but I was wondering if anyone has experience with the S cam in an auto? I've got a vig3200 and don't want to change it (for now anyway). Chuck said that it would be better with a 3600 or so, but should be OK with the 3200...while I have no reason not to believe him, I just wanted to throw it out here and see what you guys thought? Too low of a stall for that cam or no?

Not sure how big that cam is? I've been running TR227/224 .569/.563 114 with no issues.
Hope this help's.

Go bigger on your stall. I had my Vig 3200 with the X1 cam. It wasn`t a real good match. I just restalled to a 3800 with the new MTI Y1 cam. I really can`t tell the differance in stall driving around. Now when I nail it, totally differant. Very sweet! Do a restall and you want regret it. I promise!

The cam has similar numbers as the T-REX, I'd atleast go with a 4000 stall.

thanks for the replies, all. Looks like I might have to free up a little cash to get that converter out and restalled. I might just get the heads/cam in the car and see what happens and pull out the converter myself if it's too small.

Beard, those are some awesome numbers on and off the spray!
