trying to find an SS
This is my first time posting on here but i was just wondering what an average price of an SS would be and if it would be smarter to get an m6 or a4, im always reading the kill stories and i have fell in love with the ls-1's. So any help would be nice. Thanks

It depends totally on year, miles, and condition. They're running dirt cheap in general though. I'd say you could pick up a 2000 SS with less than 25k miles on it for $14,000. You can get an '02 with less than 10k miles on it for less than $19,000. Great time to be a buyer. Crappy time to be a seller. lol Like I was a few weeks ago.

do you think i should keep my eye out for an a4 or m6, i mean i do plan on racing alot there are alot of z-28's and stangs around here so do you think the a4 would hold up better than the m6 or would the m6 be stronger

Automatic or Manual, A4 or M6..... It's all a matter of personal taste. Me personally, I just sold my Automatic car so I could find myself a 6 speed car. I just miss having the controll. If beating the tar out of Mustangs is your primary goal in a drag race situation, the automatic is more consistant, and generally quicker. If you like to play around on the freeway, and enjoy better fuel economy, then get the 6 speed. As much as I prefer a manual car, I will tip my hat to the 4LE60 automatic. It's hands down, and far and away the best auto I've ever driven. Shifts very nice, and is shockingly responsive. (But it's still an Auto) Basically, you can't go wrong either way. You're going to have so much fun in this car it's stupid.
