Default Gauges and headlights flickering

My gauges and headlights are flickering. I mainly notice it when I turn the car on after cooling off for awhile. It seems pretty bad. Does anyone know what this could be? The battery gauge also bounces while it is doing this. It doesn't bounce a lot, but it is noticeable. WTF??

well all of the problems I've had with gauges in the past on my other non LS1 cars have been ground related........

Thoroughly investigate the battery and it's connections.

Definately check battery/grounds like the above posts say, but I 've also seen a similiar problem and it was because the #8 spark plug wire fell off and the coil pack was arcing to all the wires back behind the motor.
