Less noise is good, but how about a DB comparison? And what about performance? Any significant power loss w/ the quieter mufflers? I really wanted to buy the rumbler X, but found it to be too loud for my DD. Would like some more info and comparisons.

Awesome, I like my TSP duals with the bullets though. I'm sure others will opt for the spiral flows option. Props to you guys for finding alternatives for this exhaust.

1. How does it affect power?

2. How much for just the mufflers, I already have your X setup

I've got spiral flows on my x (not tsp), and they sound great. Pretty quiet at idle, but they scream @ WOT. As far as power goes, I don't think there is much, if any loss over a straight through bullet. I dyneded 345 w/ my girly bolt on A4 with these muffs.

Spiral flow mufflers...

I hope you know that if those are the Moroso mufflers, which they look like it to me, they need to be coated with something because the casing is bare steel. I used some high-temp paint for mine.

Are those Flo Pro Twisters or Morosos? Also, how much quieter are the spirals then bullets? As in, how does this setup compare with, say a Flowmaster ATR catback with no cat on a bolt on car? Also, are there are different lengths you can get the spirals in? Looks like a good setup to me.

How much for just what's in the pic? For us guys who already have the old setup, can we buy just that section?

Thanks
Tim

I didn't like the Twisters at all when we first started using them on our systems, but now I prefer them over anything else. Sure the sound is a little different, but it's a mean sound. And the quietness they offer at cruising speeds is great.

BTW - I dyno'd Dynomax bullets, Flo-Pro Twisters, and Magnaflow Magnapaks on my car - and each made EXACTLY the same amount of power. The Twisters were the quietest on the road though...

great info!

What results have you seen from XR1's? IIRC is P/N 40085 to be exact.

WoW, that sounds a lot better than i expected it too. i think the bullets are just too loud for me. what kind of headers, cam, etc. does it have, i really like that.

P.S. I think it needs a wash
