FINALLY! I am an official 10 sec. member! CAM ONLY w/ baby 224 cam. I had a good feeling about tonight. I checked the density altitude at noon and it was -1700. The weather wasnt that great on Friday and I knew that a front was coming through on Saturday, so I held it out till Sunday. Of course like always, I end up in a rush and get there late. Well this time it was because I was installing new front springs. (QA1 275 lb. drag springs) Well finally got out there, lined her up and ran:

Of course I was happy because it was my new best. I knew it had more in it because the 60 ft. wasnt there. I didnt do that great of a burnout, so I hot lapped it and made another run. It felt better that run and I knew I was close. I came up to the booth and told the lady, "guess what...I finally got myself a firejacket!" I had been wearing a dark blue jacket that passed for nomex for a while, but soon enough, she realized that it wasnt. Anyhow, she said, "glad you got it because you definately need it now." Well this is what I ran:

Woohoo! 10s!!!!!!! I was extremely excited! I still cant believe it now. All the hard work finally paid off. 10s had been my goal for a long time now and I finally did it. I doubt the car is going to get any faster, so I guess I will be installing the new parts that have been sitting in my dining room. T-ReX, Rollmaster double roller heat treated timing chain set, Thunder Racing ported & blue printed LS6 oil pump, Patriot Gold dual spring kit, ARP crank pulley bolt, and Im going to order a set of Katech rod bolts tomorrow! I hope to be in the 10.70s. That is my next goal. The mods above, more weight reduction, and air like tonight and it shouldnt be a problem! The scales werent working tonight, but from the mods Ive done since the last time I weighed in, I took off about 10 lbs. which puts me roughly at 3330 race weight. Anyhow, just thought I would pass on the exciting news! The DA was -1895 around 9 pm.

Congrats on the new best
I went to the track Sunday to get my 10 and they were closed(without telling anyone).
The DA was -1770 too 
Oh well mybe next time.

Congrats man! I wanted to go yesterday and try for the cam only record. But the track here was closed due to the cold

dammit mark you took what i wanted to say.
but all them questions, 3 screan names and 50 changes later and you finally made it. i hope for the sanity of all of us on here that you know how to install the dozen mods you listed to come.
im just giving you a hard time. congrats, its about damn time.
if the track was open here i would have most definatly been out there getting my sixty or fifty pass

Good job man. I tried myself to join or get close to 10s cam only but hallsville called it off 20 minutes before i pulled up to the gate. Like bain said the DA was -1770. I wanted to cry
