Why aren't ITBs popular?
Individual throttle bodies seem to be at least on the radar for Holdens, why aren't they popular in the US? Speed Density tuning is catching on, so going MAF-less isn't the big deal that it used to be. Since people are shelling out $1200 for a 90mm FAST intake/TB setup, why hasn't a market for ITBs developed?
Thanks
Ben

Harrop makes a killer looking setup for the GTO, but it is quite spendy!

SD is just coming on in the U.S. Give that and ITBs a chance to catch on.
All the setups here have been very, very pricey...
The Harrop setup is nice when $1USD was worth $2AUD. But, at $1.20 its gets pricey...

$5000???? that thing better add at least 200rwhp, but i bet you'll be lucky to see 20
what are the benefits of this setup?
btw, i think i know why it hasn't sold well, cause 1200 and 5000 is a BIG difference!

so anyone know the benefits over the lsx manifold? if there are some serious benefits other than it's different then the price might not seem so bad.

I didn't realize the extent that the dollar is sucking against the AUS dollar.
Those prices are just way too high. If they were around $2000-2500 I think they would sell well.
Here is a link to the Harrop site:

ITBs give a much fatter torque curve (increased area under the curve) and an increase in top end as well.

well sure doesn't sound like it'd give you the 200rwhp i was thinkin to justify that price or for that matter even the 20, hahaha ... but if you got the extra money to throw around why not, right

so this is not only gettin expensive but difficult too
forget it, i was gonna do some testin on my cars with them, bone stock ls1, bolt-on ls1, and heads/cam ls1 ... have all three setups ... but i'm thinkin this is just gonna run into problem after problem and get very costly quick.
