Default New LSX series crate motors from Busch Builder

Watching Speed TV tonight Two guys garage was at PRI. They interviewed Tim from Wegner Automotive Research and they discussed the NEW LSX series crate motors they are producing. I have read some guys using some of their products but hadnt heard about any crate engines until now.

This is good news in my book. Means another elite engine builder getting into the LSX motor. They didnt say a whole lot except that they were develping it and some of the options they had for it (Carbs, Mechanical Fuel pump, Distributor setups if you want them).

Looks interesting I figured I would show the scoop. Hopefully they will take a look on the web and sponsor LS1tech!!! There website only shows some LS1 intake stuff but I assume the motors are new so maybe they are behind.

Enjoy
Mike

When I was up at PRI, I was shocked to see how many builders had an LS1 program. There's many big name guys doing some of these builds.

They showed it with a carb'd intake but they have been offering that intake for a while. It is their intake that is why they had it on there.

It looks good in my opinion how many NEW big time builders are looking at the LSX platform. Only good things can come from it!!

I talked to Dan from there today about the intake. THinking about sending them the GMPP intake(since they cannot sell it themselves at this point they said) and sending them some heads to port with my specifications/desires in mind. Talked to them at length about the distributor setup they have as well. Very honest guys, never tried to sell me a product, just inform and listen to questions.

I've met them and visited both their North Carolina (now closed) and Wisconsin shops. They know what they're doing. Best of all, they do all their work in-house.

Carl Wegner has been building engines for 30 years, so he's no fly-by-night guy either.
