Default Advertised duration for F13, F14 and TSP 233/239

Hey guys just wondering if you can tell me the advertised duration of these 3 cams. I'm torn between the three-losing sleep actually-it's pretty sad.

Link? I didn't see it anywhere--I may just be blind though.

Add 49 to the .050 for the TSP cam, and the Futral cams "should" add about 50-51 to the .050.

It's not a comp lobe. It's a Lunati from what they told me. Brian sent me the specs and they were 49 degrees diffrent between advetised and .050. There could be some changes to the lobe pattern I guess, but the numbers look the same to me.

good to know. did he give you .200 as well or just .006 and .050. are the lobes symetrical or asymetrical?

I just asked him for the advertised. If I had to guess, I would say it is a symetrical lobe. You don't see many people doing off the shelf cams with asymetrical lobes.

I just don't understand how the 233/239 can have .100 clearance on a stock head?

You can gain lots of clearence with LSA and advance changes. I'm sure they messed with it till they got it right.

that's only 10*bigger at .006 than my TR 220.i would've thought it would be more.

230-220=10* 280-270=10*. If both cams are on similar lobes, which they are, the numbers are in corelation. If you leave the same .050 duration and raise the .006 duration, you weaken the intensity of the lobe. For example, XE-R lobes have a seperation of 49 between advertised and .050", TR and Futrals are around 50, and XE's are 53, then some of the lunatis are 58 and 61. The higher the diffrence, the softer the lobe ramp.

Wouldn't a faster acting lobe provide more low end vacuum which would in turn provide better driveability? It's seem like the F13 is very close to a XE lobe profile.

your right.i just thought since futral uses a softer lobe the advertised dur. would have been a couple of degrees bigger.and it's a slight reverse split at .200".hmmm.
