Well, after much speculation and guessing... my car was sent to a friend of mine to be fixed. To make a long story short, I had been having problems with missing second gear, I was told it was probably a synchronizer, so, I layed off the hard driving and just chilled until I had the money to get it fixed. Then on Xmas morning I went to work and on the way there, it got stuck in 5th gear, finally I got it out as I came to a redlight, (phew), and continued my drive... I got to work, did what I needed to, then when I went to leave, the damn car was stuck in FIRST!!! I finally got it out after much trying(I turned the car off, and it came right out of gear) put it in reverse, backed up... put it in first, and it wouldn't go ANYWHERE... just sat there and revved... so I am thinking WTF!!! So, I had the shit towed... and since then, the tranny was torn down to every little piece and they found that some "pin" was what the problem was... Apparently the reason I kept missing gears was not because of my synchros, it was because this pin would start to come out and get loose and the shifter would get loose and not go into gear.... so, I spent quite a bit of money putting a "pin" back into place :bang: THAT sucks because that money could have put LT headers on my car dammit... oh well... the important thing is that I have my car back... and I won't be missing gears anymore...

so it was a pin in your shifter or trans? i'm confused. lol. my 5th syncro is screwed. feel your pain. after i bought my car, i think it was like 4 or 5 days after, i was at work and after i went to leave and my car wouldn't hardly go into reverse. finally got it in and then went to shift into first. wouldn't go. turned out to be my slave cylinder that was bad. glad to see you got yours back though.:burn:

The little roll pin that goes in the shifter linkage?? I've had a problem with one of those before. sounds like you got it all sorted out tho :) time to put it to the real test, if not already done so

I think that is what it was... it was difficult enough to where they had to disassemble my entire tranny... I'm taken it a little easy though... I've been driving a POS 89 Honda Civic that is about to die, when I drove my car for the first time since Dec... WHOA! I thought, now THIS is a CAR!!! Yeah, its taken me a day or two to get used to driving it again since the little honda five speed was a POS and drove like shit...

I am not sure where it was but it was in some linkage I think.. I was so excited about getting my car back I was spared the details since I was running and skipping back to my beloved car... I'm so happy to have it back...

I was more than just a little excited :drive: but I took it slow since I haven't driven a powerful car in a month... I got on it a little bit but no more than like half throttle... just wanted to feel the "pull" again :hail:

HAHA, I bet everyone in traffic was staring at you like you were some kind of moron!!!! :jest: I will never forget the time the Pewter WS6 was racing some sort of NA Cobra and missed second right infront of EVERYONE standing on the sidelines.... almost losing the race... good thing it didn't... it was then the owner stopped racing until the car could be fixed... :jest:
