Default BFG KDWS Opinions

So I've had these tires for about a year now, not much wear, got a great deal on them locally. They hook great and are good in rain, but not so hot in snow. One thing I noticed is they are really noisy tires audibly and how they make the car feel. Whats everyone's opinions? How long can I expect these to last. I don't think i'll purchase these again, but when i'm ready for new tires whats a decent bargain 245/50 r16 tire for a 2001 trans am?

I'd say any 'performance' tire such as that will suck in the snow. Needless to say it's easier (if you can afford it) to get a pair of snow tires, and a pair of summer tires like the BFG's you have. I havent had a personal experience with those, but I havent actually heard a bad thing about them.

When I next need tires I'm going with Pirelli PZero Nero M&S. I don't know that much about them, but I have heard they are fairly good year round, and from tirerack ratings, they don't look bad.

I like them a lot and I haven't had any problems with them in the snow. Does your car have traction control? When you say "not so hot in snow", what are you comparing them against?

No Traction control. They work equally well in snow as my stock Goodyears did that came with the car which isn't saying much considering this is supposed to be an all-season tire. But for the price can't complain and I couldn't get over how my car hooked so much better than with the stock goodyears

I've got Yokohama AS430's and they are great. I think you can only buy them at Tire Kingdom...hopefully you have them where you live. The tires were a little pricey ($149.95 each) but DAMN do they hook! With the BFG tires I would easily spin off the line, now they barely chirp. Also, the second week that I had the tires my rear end blew apart so I guess the added traction took it's toll!

I like mine in the snow... but i hate that the dont chirp. they make no noise at all between gears. They do have surprisingly good traction wet and dry however.

I love myne, Im on my 2nd set and have no complaints. As far as tracking I can launch at 2 grand with no spinning at all which is kinda odd but I love it!

I got over 35k on my set and sold them with the car with lots of tread left. Much better than the GY eagles in the rain and snow, but the camaro is never going to be a snow machine

They wear fairly fast... faster than I thought they would at least. But I'm happy with mine as far as an all around tire.
