Posi Units; Durable Until What 60' Time...?
In my quest to bag an 11 sec timeslip on an M6, I am going to attack my 60' time. But I am now going through a reality check by finding out that good 60 fts. often mean blown posi's, even in the 12 bolts.
At what point (1.4, 1.5, 1.6) do these posi's become impractical to keep? Are spools (or the 9" Ford Rear) the only way to cut good short times without me sitting in the towtruck on the way home from the track?

I'd like some insight on this too, but i will say it depends on the whole combination - car weight/launch rpm/power etc. My Chevelle weighs 3990 with me in it, launch at 5K, and and cuts 1.67-1.75 60' times. car's best run to date is 12.06@114mph and as far as I can tell the posi diff still works well.
