Default Anyone engraved their handtools?

Has anyone engraved their tools? Have any problems with warranty claims if you did? Corrossion?

I've had an overwhelming and reoccuring thought about my tools being stolen at school. I've got about a 50/50 mix of Snap-On and Craftsman tools. Suggestions? Comments? Experiences?

Thanks.

Some companies will do the engraving for you for an extra fee. I'm in charge of all the tools in our shop and every one of them has engraving done on them by myself. Never had issues with warranty.

Go pick up an etcher and go to town on them.

i highly doubt it would void a warranty. i write my name on my hand tools for work (electrician), moreso so they dont get mixed up with someone elses. i need to get an etcher though.

What's an "Etcher"? I have what I guess is an engraver, it's a little handheld 110V thing with a vibrating sharp point.

Yep, and guys, please try and keep this on-topic and not beat the "who's the best quality" dead horse because you all KNOW that Craftsman, Harbor Freight, and the tools you get in the cheap Emergency Kit at the Dollar Store are far more superior to Snap-on, MAC, etc...
