Default Good price for a 01 WS6?

If my truck is sold next week, I found an automatic red 01 WS6 with 42,000 miles for 16K at a local dealer. The car is clean, no scratches, no mods. Just a few entry/exit scuffs on the d/s seat. It has black leather and new tires. Everything but TCS. Unfortunately it'a an auto, my 98 T/A and 02 Z-28 were both 6spds. But the g/f can drive it, so that's a plus. I have the '69 for my hotrod. I think it's a decent price, b/c they have a identical 02 WS6 with 24K miles for 22,000. Hopefully if the guy buys my truck around the beginning of the week, I'll be in a T/A again. 16K seems like a fair price. I might be able to get him to 15K or so..

16k is a great price for the auto.....if you enjoyed having both of the 6spds, Teach your wife to drive one. A girl driving a manual sports car......SEXY!!!!

LOL. That's funny. I used to say this same thing only in reverse. I'd find what would seem to be a good deal but then say to myself "unfortunately it's a manual".

I was shopping for another auto LS1 car for about 4 months last year and it seemed like all I could find were 6-speeds! Funny how it's always hard to find what you want, but others can't help but to stumble across it......

Yea, I'd love a 6spd again. But since my g/f can drive it some, I can relax on some road trips and such. There aren't many T/A's around here for sale that I've seen, especially a red WS6 that I've always wanted. Everybody has 4x4's or some kind of SUV. I guess if I want to drive a 6spd, I can get off my lazy a$$ and get the old '69 Firebird up and running.

$16K is an awesome price...for comparison i was given $19K on a trade in for my 2002 WS6 with 42K on the odo. There is nothing wrong with A4's....they're better for racing anyway.

That's true. I forgot how much power these cars have. I floored it about 25mph and got ALL kinds of sideways during the test drive. Luckily it was just me and the old lady. I think the A4 will do good for a daily driver. I've already been getting my "wish list" compiled. I had parts sitting at the house waiting on me when I brought my 02 Z home from the dealership. It's an addiction. I really want the 02 WS6, to have the last year T/A and the first year T/A (clone). I thought it'd be cool to have both, but it's almost a steal to get the 01 for 16K or maybe a little less.

Go for the '01, you cannot beat that price. Period.

Yea, all this waiting to see if they guy can get my truck financed is killing me. The sales manager at the dealership happens to be a distant cousin as well. Never met him before, but maybe he'll hook me up. He said if I bring the guy to the dealership that he will write my truck off as a trade-in so I don't pay sales tax on it.

If it was me.....since I am very impatient. I'd trade in the truck, and take the infamous negative equity hit, since your getting a pretty good deal at 16k. And your chances are even better of getting lower than 16k since he's a relative. Good luck

I'm impatient as well. I took the truck down there today, they checked it out, and said they'd give me what I was asking, and they dropped the price down $1000 on the car. BUT, since it was Sun. and my bank is closed today, they let me take the car home and the truck as well. So I should be closing the deal tomorrow, and still have to clean all my junk out of the truck. Everybody that came up there was asking "Whose truck is that?" lol. We love the car, just gotta have them replace a turn signal bulb and a tail light bulb. At least my payments will be $200 a month cheaper.
