Just wanted to say hello. I don't own a LS1 or LT1 but I do respect them. Whenever I get a ride in my friends F-Body I understand the love.

Dont worry, only a few ford members venture here on ls1tech. I have survived, and now i work for the site ;)

but i have had some cars that could punish some ls1's and working on another one as well :D

I see you have a tad over 600 rwhp as it says in your sig! Lets hear some details bro.

GrayWell it started with 274rwhp stock....a few bolt-ons got it to 295rwhp CAI and pullies. Then I replaced the hyperpathetic stock internals with all forged pistons and rods, ported the heads, long tubes and added a D1SC (15psi) that got it to 603rwhp and 531tq on 93 octane. Dropped the IRS for a solid 8.8. I just put in a set of Livernois cams and switched to an 8-rib setup but haven't had it in for a new tune...HOPING to see another 30 to 40 rwhp???. Then we'll put in some C16 and see what it'll do.
I'll update in about 2 weeks if the weather holds out.

Update; Just got it tuned yesterday and was quite surprised.
664rwhp
592rwtq
93 octane
18 degrees of timing
15psi
A/F in the 11s all the way out to 7000rpms
I'll be taking it to the track here as soon as the weather breaks to see
what kinda times she puts down.

No, I don't know Dan? Brent and Dustin at Automotive Specialists do all my tuning.

I see, I was referring to Dan Millen up at Livernois... figured maybe since you run the cams, that you might take the car up to him in michigan to tune up the car!

Anyways, great numbers man, and i am sure that car is fun to have on the street!

Welcome to the board! Definitely some nice numbers! I like to think of myself as a Ford guy that drives a Chevy ;) j/k I've been a Ford guy all my life, had several Mustang GT's, Saleens, and a Cobra and decided I wanted to try something different. The Vette is definitely fun, but doesn't have anything on the Mustang in the sound department.. I miss the sound of an offroad H and 2-chamber Flowmasters :D

Did you change anything besides the cams to see that huge power increase from the previous dyno? How's it sounds? Pretty Lopey?

I know of a 2-valve that runs the Livernois cams with a forged motor, heads, and an S-Trim at 12.5 lbs. making 522rwhp and 445rwtq on Livernois' Mustang Dyno. It made 410rwhp and 412rwtq before cams and longtubes so he saw a great gain also. He is a video of his car at idle and revving Click Here (http://www.livernoismotorsports.com/video/liv2vcams.wmv)

Yes, I changed injectors and added a boost-a-pump, also changed to an 8-rib from a 6-rib pulley and belt setup. This thing has a single 110" belt running everything so I'm still fighting belt slip. I'll prolly change to either a turbo or a procharger F2 (runs a seperate belt for the blower) in the fall/winter. If the weather holds out i'll be taking it to the track this weekend. I'll be babying it alittle to save the stock T3650 tranny :( .

Update from the track, took the Slobra to US41 a few weeks ago in northern Indiana. Made 5 passes and my best was 10.35 @ 138 with a 1.57 60' and 6.7 @ 108 in the 8th. There was a nice black auto T/A running 10.2s @ 128s lifting the front all morning :thumb: ......Damn I want an auto.

I've tried posting up the time slip and there is a problem with the size, I'll work on it.

You've got mph for 9's if you can knock that 60' down some. Not sure if that's going to happen. A 1.57 60' is very solid.

Nice job.
