Default time to get a real trans. suggestions?

well, ive been out of f-body modding for a year+ or so now. i had to sell a couple things off my car, but i still have the cam in there. still went 12.7@112? with the cam, stock converter, and 2.73s. i think thats pretty damn good considering where my power is and when i get to it. ive decided to sell the bike and put the money towards a trans. ive always had some type of stock 4l60 and a converter in it- vig3200 first and pt4400 second (times in sig are with the 3200). however, i would like to get a built trans now and "be done with it" and get a nice converter so i can actually use my power again. so what are some decent trans out there for sub 500 rwhp cars? i dont plan on adding any power mods for a while so i dont see my level exceding where i was at before. i would like to keep the 2.73s for a while too. i went 12 bolt, spent tons of cash, and want to see how far i can get with this stock rear . im thinkin somewhere around a 4K converter with the crappy gear. so what are your suggestions for trans/converter? i obviously dont have buckets of cash to pay for a trans either.

i also have a 4L65 stage 4 from century in houston, they build them really well. rated up to 700 hp, very strong trannys. take a look at the rossler transmissions. i think they are in chicago. one of the best in the business. good luck.

oh, get ready to spend some money!

Being done with something and limited budget dont go hand in hand. Are you looking for a bolt and go tranny or building it yourself? I dont think your going to get out of anything easy or cheap.
