Default 500fwhp stock heads.

Is it possible to hit the 500fwhp mark with stock heads and cam swap?
engine right now is a 2001 ls1 from SS camro. i have a ls2 intake with 90mm tb and 1 7/8 headers. i will get the proper sized injectors and a tune.
Anybody have proven cam suggestions?

Yep, it's possible. It's been done a handful of times.

So the 230+ duration mark is what i want to be looking at for the cam? any recomendations? the engine is going into a 73 camaro with a M6. besides the bigger intake, tb, and headers what are some other bolt ons?

Call Allan or Candy at Futral Motorsports. They will find out exactly what you want and give you the perfect cam.

500 fwhp is what I'm shooting for with this combo: TSP 235/240 .602/.598 112 with QTP 1.75 longtubes, custom 3"x4" with Borla race muffler, no cats, ASP pulley, home ported TB and home ported heads with stock valves plus tuning. Not done with the heads & cam yet, so I don't have dyno numbers for you. I may just go with the "Salt Dyno" at Bonneville and see if I can hit 200 mph.

The transmission has no effect on FWHP though I can understand that m6s put down more power than autos so i'm guessing you just had a dumb moment.

I read some where that the fast intake is not any better then the ls2 intake. Is this true? but i probably will be going with the fast 90mm TB

Between the two, I would go with the Fast 90MM set up.

Better port match that LS2 before you put it on.
