Default Ran 5.0 Mustang Foxbody from a stop

This guy wanted to run my TA for some money. So we set up $50.00 race best 2 out of 3. I beat him by a 1/2 car first race and 1 1/2 car lengths on second. He claimed his mustang "stock" but boltons before the race. He did say that he is selling his Mustang after the race and he just wanted to run it. So next day, I went to autotrader for the heck of it. I pulled his posting. Very clean mustang for 8grands. How fast a 5.0 with, Cobra Intake Manifold, E303 Cam, CAI, tfs heads, LT headers, and god knows what else?

1992 FORD MUSTANG, coupe, 5.0, teal green, mint cond car, rare blk intr, tfs heads, E303 cam, 5spd, 355, 91kmi, too much to list, $8,000 obo

Obviously its not as fast as yours. 8k seems like an awful lot for that car. Im thinking he may get half that.

Nice Kill

With a good driver and the mods you listed prolly 12.20's on radials @ 110-112mph.

On slicks, a car with those mods could run anywhere from high 11s to low 13s.

Literally.

If it's a 331 then it's not a 5.0, it's a 5.4.....

The foxbody i ran was also quiet as hell. It suprised the crap out of me when he is right behind me. First race was so close, it was side by side. I got him by 1/3 - 1/2 car.

Everybody's definition of "fast" is likely different, and the 5.0 is certainly not a threat to an LS1 in stock trim, or mod for mod (street setups). However, a bolt-on (stock internal) 5.0 can be made to run mid-high 12s.

especially if it's a forged 88-91 and he sprayed a 125-150 on you and that why he seemed so quiet.
