Set it at 6750-6800 rpm if you have a 2001 or 2002 engine.

Did you do any other mods?...valvesprings, pushrods, is it a stock bottom end? Mine is set @ 7000 with WOT shift points @ 6600. I never saw them go past 6800 on the dyno because the cam started to fall off by then. I think some folks on here are going higher than 6500. I would not feel comfortable without upgrading the valvetrain and possible rod bolts.

what do you set it at if you have a 98?
why the difference?
what can a 98 do to run up to 6800rpm?

The newer LS1's have stronger rod bolts. A '98 can still PROBABLY take 6800 rpm, but don't go higher than that if you want to play it safe. Or just put in ARP rod bolts and be good to 7200 rpm.

i'd set it at 7k, do a full dyno pull, see where it peaks and adj. accordingly.

Just out of curiousity how does this cam sound? Does it resemble a stock sounding cam or does it have a lope to it?

Mine is on a 112 lsa and I have had some problems tuning the idle. I have gone through 2 tuners. The cam makes great power and has alot torque under the curve. I was impressed with it's performance other than the idle issue. I'm sure mine is isolated because their are plenty of other people here with no idle problems. I'm pulling the cam out this week and replacing it with one with simular specs. Other than being on a 114 lsa and the fact that I will get a cam card and/or cam doctor report so I can degree it I should make the same power or a little better. The only real complaint is the fact that they keep the specs secrete.

ummm it sounds more than great for me .definitly not like stock..... there is a clear fast rythem......now that i 've fixed the cutoff to 7000 i found out more power in that erea ... to tell you the truth i was not impressed untill i changed the cutoff ......my friend was next to me and he got scared i lost traction 1st ,and 2nd and was feathering the car in 3rd .... nice but i don't want to say something untill i race one of the 4 cars that i raced last weekend M5 , vette 2 holdens. then i'll tell u if i like it or not .sound is only 5% for me the remaining 95% is about how much power it produces.

thanks guys for helping
