Default TSP Torquer ok on stock 3.42 m6?

Hey guys i need some advice here. I have a 98 Camaro m6 with some bolt-ons (lid n filter, Pacesetter LT's and ORY, Cut-out, ASP Pulley) and it's time to go with a cam . I was looking into getting the TSP Torquer or TSP 228r. Will these cams still work good on stock 3.42 gears or will I need to go steeper? I haven't found any specific answers on this by searching.

3.42s will work fine with a good tune otherwise you might see some surging and the like on the low end. Some 3.73s or better yet 4.10s would be even better for acceleration and driveability. There are quite a few people that are running big cams with the 3.42s.

Yes it will work, but I sure as hell would not want to drive that setup. I would like to have lower gearing with my TR224. I can't imagine a larger cam than a 224 grind with the 3.42's. IMO 4.10s at a minimum with that cam.

It will be a beast from a 3rd gear roll.

I have the TSP MS3 and its fine with the stock gears. But when I get some gears I'm sure it will pull alot harder. I pull stock '03 Cobras by 4 cars N/A!

I have the torquer on stock gears and its just fine. Only minor surging at light throttle below like 1300 rpm. Go for it!

i have the 228 on a 112 and am wishing dearly for 4.10s.it still pulls harder than stock down low but really comes alive around 3500.of course anything less than drag radials 1st gear would be useless.

I originally was gonna do a 224 cam but i've seen a lot of threads of people eventually pulling them out and going bigger so i figure i might as well save the trouble and just go big now. Really lookin at the TSP Torquer and 233/239. are 3.42's gonna kill my times at the track?
