Get ready to the infamous SEARCH! reply by most members but I went with the TR224 cam which sounds nice, makes good power, great streetabilty, and isn't too radical. There are several cams to choose from and I agree with everyone thats going to reply, research, research, research! Call some sponsers on the left that sell cam's to help you in your decision. I am a fan of Thunder Racing personally. Also I notice that this is your first post, so I am not sure on how familiar you might be on whats involved in a cam upgrade, but check out this link ASAP It's an amazing write up and might help you decide on your cam as well.

pushrods and valvesprings are a must. timing chain and oil pump highly recommend it. new lifters and rocker arms would be nice, but they are not necessary.

the cam package that tunder racing has pretty much everything that you need. You don't need dual valve springs with this cam, so go with the comp 918's. As far as to what LSA to get, the 114 will idle better than the 112, but the 112 will have a nicer sounding lope and I am not 100% sure about this, but I believe the lower the LSA, the more power. Also a dynotune is HIGHLY recommended after installing everything to get the most out of the cam.

EDIT: And I noticed you have a 2000, you might want to think about adding a LS6 Intake Manifold, as that can add an extra 15-20rwhp combined with a cam. Also I would get a ported/polished throttle body, ASP Pulley, and a stall and your car will move! Personally, I would buy a stall before a cam to begin with.

i was going to get all these things with the cam and get them installed at the same time, then get it all tuned.

i am guessing that you want good street manners out of your stall too, so i would say a vig 3200, or a tci ssf 3500 would go good with that cam, the biggest decider in which you pick would be money.

I have 2 buddies one has the tr224 112 and the other has the tr224 114. The 112 definatly has a better sounding idle. But remember there are bigger more powerfull cams out there than those. Checkout the tsp tourquer or some futral cams. Ive heard they are very sreetable and will bury the tr224 cams in power output.
