Default First time to the track

Well my first time was not very professional looking to say the least. I started off by driving through the middle of the water box. That mixed with a poor burn out caused some water to get left in the tread of my Nitto's DR. When I launched I didn't think my tires would ever quit spinning. 2nd gear shift came pretty darn quick. 60 foot: 1.892, 1/8 mile: 7.84 @ 92mph. I hoping with a good launch I should have a better time. There were people kind enough to tell me to drive around the dip in the water box after I did a burnout down the track. How much do you guys think my time will improve if I get a good launch?

a 1.89 60 foot launch isn't horrible, but of course I don't know whether you have an auto or stick. The mph in the 1/8 shows you should be more around the 7.40-7.50 range et-wise if you can hook it up.
