So I live in somewhat of a small town in central Texas and this guy comes over from one town over asking "Whos the fastest in town?" So everyone tells him that I am, and he reply's "Heh, not anymore!" So I finally catch this guy at a gas station today and tell him to bring it on. So we get on the highway and slow to 30, three honks and we both hit it. Between 30 and 125 I put 1 1/2 cars on him before we both shut down. I was amazed of what my car just did, so was he. My mods are in my sig, his mods were Kenne Bell Blower, Intake, Exhaust, and a bunch of other little ****. He was pissed but was cool about it. He said "Damn! There goes my bragging rights. What you got heads and cam?" Then the beauty of it all "Nope. The motor is stock."

Yea I kinda figured that but it is true. Why in the hell would I come on to the internet lie about a freakin race?

I tell you what, if it is going to be such a big deal to everyone to not beleive it I can get it on video. Or if anyone on here is somewhat Austin, Texas local I would be more than happy for you to come out and personally watch this race. The guy is pretty cool so I doubt he would care.

was it intercooled?

i actually beat a tuned, non cooled 98 SC pretty easily.
it got hot real quick on him.

so its believable. the KB makes it a lil harder to swallow though.

Me and lt4 are going to work something out, I will get a video. Like I said I really have no reason to get on the internet and lie about a race.

Edit: It isnt a 2.2 "Blowzilla" like they have for the 03-04's I dont think.

you must have a freak to be able to pull on him from a roll with a stock heads/cam ls1. A bolt on's 4v 4.6 will make high 290's low 300-310whp N/A.... with the kenne bell on it, id say it was at least in the lower 400whp area, which would put it in the 115+ trap range..

either way... nice kill. Definetely get some video of the rematch, and find out more about his setup.

On a non forged stock heads cam 4.6 a non intercooled 1.7 which they only advise to run 5 psi will be hard pressed to get 400 at the wheels.

well i can believe it, a guy here has a pro charger (i think ) on one and he dynoed 375 rwhp, tuned. his car traps the same mph as mine at the track, i just run about 3 tenths faster. lol. the best i saw him run all day was an 8.40 (1/8). so its possible. it all depends on how much boost he has and his race weight.

8psi is fine on a stock 4.6. That's it though. 400rwhp is about the max before the rods start looking like pretzels.

No, he dosnt have a freak. He does however have a 4000 stall among his mods. I wouldnt doubt for a second that against a ~400 rwhp cobra he pulled like he said. A vid would rock though just for the entertainment purposes.

uh... maybe a 2v, and even then ive seen PI headed 2v's put down a bit over 400hp to the tires on 100% stock shortblock and run fine.
