Default 4L60E & Code P1870

I have a stock 1998 S-10 which I rebuilt the transmission with new converter (No shift Kit) about 3 weeks ago and just yesterday had code P1870 flash.

When driven cold all shifts and performance is perfect. When highway driving for 10 miles 60mph and returning to city driving the 1-2 shifts become harsh. Code P1870 is indicated.

I did notice that the valve body plate had slight upset metal where the ball checks contact the plate.

My question: Is this the worn converter valve issue
in the valve body if not what else should I inspect. Upon disassembly of the valve body & converter valve would it be obvious that this is the problem. Which specific kit (Transgo & Sonnax) should I be using to correct this problem.

Should I check any other areas first such as if speed sensor is OK, although this should have been indicated on the analyser.

Thanks!
