Im in the process of removing the oil pump and doing the rod bolts. Figured I could knock out both while removing the pan completely. Thanks.

Whats the safest and easiest way to do it? Im in the middle of the cam swap and I decided to do the rod bolts while doing the oil pump portion of the cam install.

Well I found out by experience, the pan will not completely drop even with the BMR k-member. So now with the front half of the motor off, pan loose, etc., how do I lift up on the engine to drop the pan?

put a couple bolts in the pan, jack up the motor by the pan until you can slide the two motor mount bolts under the mounts. That will hold the motor up high enough so the pan will fall right out with the BMR, if your headers are still bolted on the heads and the intake is on make sure you dont crush anything trying to jack it up high enough, I'm not sure it will make it if the intake is still on - mine was off when I did this.

I didnt build the motor, it went 75-7600rpm plenty of times and it was fine anyhow. New 408 will have them though..
