Del-Trans did mine. It is holding up well but I have a much lighter car.

Century Transmissions did the TSP car and theirs is running real fast.

As mentioned, Century Automotive built our 200-4R. Mike at Century is the only transmission builder that touches our autos. We have really abused our 200, and it doesn't blink an eye. I ran it for a year in my '02 SS before putting it in our '98 Z28, and I ran a best of 10.13 @ 131 MPH on a 1.39 60' with it. I sent it back a year ago for freshening, and Mike said everything looked perfect. The 3-4 clutch pack was showing a little wear but nothing bad by any means, but I had him replace it anyways while it was there. We put the trans in our Z28 last May, and we've run a best of 10.20 with it with numerous 60' times in the high 1.3x range.

The 200-4R conversion is not cheap, but Century's transmissions are well worth it. Spend the money the first time to do it right, and you won't regret it. Feel free to give me a call or shoot me an e-mail at trevor@texas-speed.com, and I can put together a complete conversion package for you.

sounds good i would just like to have a tranny that i dont have to rely on the computer to shift right and could put a trans break on sometime, It will be alittle while before i do this though,. I want to get a rearend and all the suspsion to handle the power before i put some power to my car. Just wanted to get some info on it. What all is required in the swap? reflash computer, converter, x-member i guess. what else? Does the 200 bolt right up or is there a special bell houseing used?

Thanks

Bolts right up but only uses 4 of the 5 bolts. They make an adapter to use all 5 bolts but it isnt necessary.

I dont know how much power your looking at making. I got a 4l60e from Century and love it! They rate it at 500hp 500ftlbs. Its been a great transmission and there service is top notch! give em a call (866) 869-8120.

You don't have to run Century's torque converter. I had TCI custom-build a converter for my 200-4R with no problem whatsoever. I can get you a custom-built TCI for the 200-4R with the LS1 pilot length and bolt pattern starting at $515. The price will vary some depending on stall speed, but it will certainly be cheaper than other custom-built converters.

I dont believe so,He has most valve body to build a core to specs for most or the Factory performance applications.
He also builds a Hybrid AOD that they are using in 8 sec car reliably and still reatain OD
