Default question on the converter I ordered

ordered a stall today and the guy said that isnt not a lockup converter. Its a TCI street fighter 3000 for a 4l60e. I thought they were lockup converters? But the guy told me that TCI didnt make a lock up that big for the LS1 and that if I wanted a lock up I would have to go smaller. Is this true or did I get wrong information and get screwed out of 500 dollars? Also he said that it would stall around 3000 and flash to about 3400 is this true?

If it is this TCI part number: 242931, you got the right one. This one is a lock up converter. I suggest you do not deal with that vendor again, clearly they have no clue about converter products. You can get a 4400 from TCI that locks up, I know I had a TCI4400 with the lock up feature on my 2001 Camaro SS.

All of TCI's torque converters for the 4L60E are lock-up units, unless otherwise specified at the time of ordering. I think the guy was misinformed.

Curious about pricing, GMHTP quoted TCI's SSF3500 @ $710 from TCI. Summit has the exact same part # (242932) for $549. Can someone (sponsors) clarify this for us. Sorry about the hijack but I think there is enough posts about this subject, but none that clarify this.
