Default 12 bolt question. I think I made a boo boo

How does the e-brake assembly mount to the backing plates. Is it slotted to go over the axle or does the axle have to go through it.

A few months ago I purchased a strange rear and to avoid going back into my 10 bolt to get teh plates I bought a pair of backing plates to send to strange. I figured at a later date I would swap all the rest of the e-brake stuff to the rear when i did the swap.

Today I am sitting at my desk wondering how the **** I am gonna get the ebrake assembly on without having the backing plates pressesd back off the axles to have the ebrake stuff slid on in the right order.

Please tell me it goes over the axle and the axle doesnt have to go through it.

the ebrake assembly mounts to the backing plate, i'm sure you can put it onto the backingplate after the plate is sandwhiched. if they build the plates onto the axles (press the bearings on after the plates) you shouldnt have a problem mounting th e-brake assembly.

edit: somebody removed a post above mine
