Default What tires for skinnies???

Gonna buy a set of skinnies, need to know which tires to get and what exact size. I dont want to buy expensive tires like the DS-2 or the M/T, I want like a VW tire that is cheap. Thanks

Also do i need longer studs to run skinnies

Size tire is 165r15 which is vw radial as for the longer studs it would depend on wether or not you grind your calipers or run spacers

Marco I run the metric VW tires on mine. Try and get the ones rated for a max of 44psi. Suposedly they hold up better (think they are marked with a "T" or something like that). If you grind the caliper you shouldn't need spacers in the front. If you don't grind you need a 5/16 spacer and longer studs.

If you get a 8 ply M/T Sportsman they will wear quick from what I have heard. And any other "Race" front skinnie will puncture pretty easy on the street.

Metric radials should last really well. I got mine with about 200 miles on them and I put another 3,000 miles on them. They still look brand new. I can tell you that they wear alot better than my Nittos in the front.
