Default How did you run 7.50 in the 1/8th

At my home track they run a True Street race on a 7.50 index. I was wondering what mods have you done to run 7.50's in the 1/8th.
I currently have SLP lid, SLP LM cat back, and have plans to get HP Tuners, a 100-125 nitrous setup, and ET Streets or Drag radials. My car is '01 WS6 A4. I ran it last weekend w/ stock exhaust and it ran 8.44 @85 mph.
TIA

You can get it down in the 7.5 range with all the bolt-ons, a good stall, a good tune, and a little weight reduction. I wouldnt want have to depend on nitrous if your going to race every week.

Thanks for the input. I should have added that they only race that class once a month. So I guess this is where my dilema comes into play. I race in a bracket street class during the rest of the month but it has a 8.50 breakout. Otherwise I would have to race sportsman against race cars. So I need to go 7.50 once a month (nitrous) and run 8.50 the rest but I can dial 8.50 and sandbag so if the car runs 8.10's I could slow it down by running with a full tankof gas, low tire pressure up front, Add weight by other means. So I am thinking of going with the Tune, nitrous, and a stall to go 7.50. Thing is I drive on the interstate regulary so what is the highest stall that I could go with and still get reasonable mileage. I'm debating between the 3500-3600 range and the 3800-4000. Thanks

It doesn't take that much to go 7.5's. I did it with a '01 ws6 a4 with a converter, lid, long tubes w/ off road y, cutout and et streets. Ran 7.4's w/ 1.5x 60's.(100% stock suspension)

What stall is your converter? Where in FL you at?

I was in Jacksonville. I'm now in Charelston, SC. I was stationed at Kings Bay sub base in GA.

I used a yank pt4000. Pulled a best 60 of 1.53 on 26x11.5X16 et streets. The only suspension change was removed front swaybar. Still had the stock 17" rims on front.

If your car is a daily driver I would stick with a Yank SS3600. I run that in my 02 Formula(daily driver) and it drives around town real nice and works great at the track. I have a PT4400 in my 98 Formula and its terrible to drive around town with, but I`ve gone a 1.37 60' in Bradenton .

Thanks. I am going to Bradenton this Saturday to run. Is the SS4000 okay for the street. This isn't my daily driver but I drive it on the weekends and down to Tampa when I go home every 2-3 months.

It all depends on personnel preference. I thought my pt4000 was streetable and drove it daily for several months. With a lockup style converter its not going to affect your highway driving at all. It may get a little annoying around town, but again depends on you.
