Default stock 10 bolt

hey guys im getting a 99 camaro and i was wondering how would the rear end hold up with a spool and a 4.10 gear...i know i should get a 12 bolt or 9" i just want to see how far i can go with the 10 bolt....

We need more info to comment (mods, M6, A4, drag racing, street racing, tires, clutch, etc...) A spool will eliminate probs with a posi, but I don't know anyone running a spool in the stocker.

well im looking at drag/street....i will be going with nos..i'll have the ls6 no egr intake,headers,not to sure on what clutch,tb,cam,etc....im looking into running low 11s high 10s....

It's coin toss. I'll bet you blow the pumpkin with what your plans are, especially with plans to do low 11's and high 10's. That will mean a good 60 ft. time. So the equation looks like this:

High 10's = Good Holeshot = Good 60 Fts. = Clutch Dump = Sticky Tires = Aloha Stock 10 Bolt.

If you had an A4, you could buy some time. Plan on a 12 Bolt or 9"...
