For anyone who is interested and plan on going on 3/29 I have gotten this advice from some of the big time racers on Z06vette.com. I really like the advice and would not have even thought of some of these items. http://www.z06vette.com/forums/showthread.php?p=827106#post827106

They were talking about a bra but you might consider this stuff since it's temporary and we all know how much you love your paint. Bunch of supra guys used it on their cars for a road trip to vegas.

it's like the plastic that they put on cars being shipped from the factory.

Some good advice there. Bill posted a link to basic driving instructions on this forum a while back that was really good stuff. Search for it, you will not be disappointed.

hey eric thats some good advice, i think, but it sounds like those guys know their stuff. If you need soem high temp brake fluid, i have a jug. Its from a circle track guy, its rated to some stupid high temps, I use it for the clutch, and havent had a problem yet. One of the dirt dober guys told me he say guys melt brake rotors, and not burn the fluuid. Let me know if you want some.

Eric, your first time out you dont need to change your brake fluid. Whats in there is probably fine as long as its not already black. You will be pushing the car but not nearly as hard as you think. Just make sure you have some freash oil and a fairly new filter. Your trans and diff will be fine. Just add about 1/2 qt. extra oil so it a bit over the FULL mark on your dip stick. this will help prevent oil sarvation in some of the harder corners.

If your worried about your paint, go get yourself some racers tape from a local speed shop. I know speedware keeps rolls of it in stock and its only 5-10 buck. then put it on the rocker panel right behind the front tire and behind the rear tire.

DONT over think this one. Its your first time out and you wont be running at 10/10. More like 6/10. Its going to take a long time before you even get to 8/10 or 9/10. Just go, listen, learn, apply.

You wont ever drive the same again.
