Are not allowed by AFR...
This GP is closed.
Sorry guys....I've already been up and down with the reasons and the why's in other threads. Had I been alerted to this earlier I wouldn't have let it get this far.
Rob will not be receiving any cylinder heads from AFR in the near term....Down the road we might re-visit his application to become a dealer, but he will not be able to offer any GP's on AFR product in the future either.
If you were looking to purchase soon, there are other supporting vendors on this board that can provide you with the AFR product...some of them with inventory already on their shelf.
Thanks,
Tony Mamo

You can buy these heads all day long as a customer, he was trying to become an AFR dealer and GP's are not allowed apparently. There are many other sponsors on this board that carry these heads, pick one and give them your money. :)

Group purchases are not allowed "apparently". You didnt know this? I was informed of this yesterday and told that this was common knowledge? You are correct, group purchases are not allowed. After having a discussion with 2 different people at AFR this was not mentioned to me. I am now known as the Rule breaker. Sorry to all involved. How about some of the new All Pro heads? :)

I hadn't heard about the no GP rule either. What's the story on the All Pro heads?

All Pro's are the shit. The more you buy the cheaper they make it. Bob Williams will work with you and get you the chamber size you want. Not to mention the heads are already clearnced for 3/8th's pushrods, and Shaft mount rockers. You're gonna want to buy the All Pro's bare and have someone hand port them though.
Callies had 1 set last week when I talked with them, the rest of the heads are 4 weeks out, but unlike other companies 4 weeks to them means 4 weeks.

AFR will allow groupe purchases as long as the price is set with in their seller's guideline's. that is why you always see the price posted in the GP's as AFR is very strick on the resell of thir product.
This is awsome for a shop owner as it help's keep a nice profit on each set of heads. If you also notice free shipping is almost always given from sponsor's because that help's the customer and the sponsor still makes money.
The reason AFR got upset is because their is 3 or 4 pieces of paper that need's to be filled out and on one piece of paper is show's the % you are allowed to sell under retail.
There still isn't a big amount of profit to be had as I am sure you know having a dealer list but at least it's profit and you dont have to worry about another shop undercuting your prices to steal a sell.
More company's should learn from AFR and help their "middle men" be more consistant, and more fair.

I agree with you to some extent, but it is a free/open market. I think if a dealer wants to only make $1 profit on a sale it should be their right to do so. Just my opinion, which doesn't matter. :) This horse is dead.

 It all considers what you call big profit. $250 mark up is a pretty good profit to me. :secret2:
