Default Good all year round tire...

Well it is almost time for some new tires for my Formula. last week I found that one of my current tires (Cooper Cobra's...LOL) had three nails in it. So I plugged it up and went on my way. I would like to pick up all new tires in a few weeks but am a little unsure what you guys would recomend. I would like to stay away from DR's because I may drive this once or twice in the snow. But as of now I would like something that will stick. I know street tire and stick don't really mix but, LOL.

At this point my car is basically stock besides a catback and lid, A4, 2.73's. I didnt have a problem hooking last summer with the junk tires I had on there. I could walk it out and hit 1st and not spin, sad but true. I was looking at the Nitto 555's but they don't make them in my size rim, 245-50-16. Any other options besides a DR? Thanks
Jon

Where is Oak Forest? If you don't have snow or ice, get the Avon Tech M500s. For the price, they are a very good tire. I had them on last year, and through rain and dry weather they were very impressive. Tirerack sells them for $130 each in a 275/40/17. If you do have a little snow, look at the Dunlop SP 5000s.

I love the Nitto NT 555s that I put on my car. I did a search on www.tires.com and you can get the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3s for your car, you can get those for $158 each. A friend of mine has them and really likes them. We live in Portland Oregon (the land of rain) and they are awesome tires. I also can't find NT 555s in your size. They do have Nitto NT 450 Extreme Performance for $84 a peice. I heard alot of good thing about these as well. BF Goodrich KDW are also a good tire. $134 each for the KDW.

By the way I bought a package deal with my 17in Smoothie IIs and my Nitto NT 555s. They have great service. Very easy to deal with. Also very good prices.

Hope this helps
Steven

If you can get the D3s for that price, JUMP ON IT! That is a great price, and those are phenomenal tires!

Call Tirerack and see if they can source some Firestone SZ50EP's. Awesome tires!! I wish they would make the BFG g force sports in our size.
