Default Need major help with Cam!!! (Please!!)

I have an 02 WS6 M6 with 5k on the tach. I am going to put a ory-pipe and slp loudmouth exhaust on next week. I also want to put a cam in it but I don't know what cam to get. I want something that sounds nasty, puts down good numbers but isn't to radical (daily driver). I was thinkin 224/224 with either a 114 or a 112, but I don't know much about this. Can I go bigger and still be a daily driver and not have to worry about anything, is this too big, and what kind of lift should I get. 1 last thing, what all should I change. I know that I should change the springs, lifters, and retainers right?? Anything else???

Thanks Guys!!!

I would get a set of headers first or your going to hold back the cam.
I skip the loudmouth get a cut out and put the save into a set of headers.
I have a samll 216/224 112 soulds great and very street able. I have friends running a lot bigger cams on the street, it's just that kind of hp numbers your looking for. you cam controle the thumps of a cam by how high your ideal is the lower the more thumps. 224/224 at 112 is a great street cam.

A 224 cam is a great all around cam. With proper tuning, a much larger cam like a 233/239 can be very streetable.
Read JRP's cam info page and also read the cam intro page at ls1howto.com for some more research. JRP's guide will also inform you about the accompanying bolt-ons you should invest in.
