Default 420 Bosch vs 340 Walbro

Does a 420lph Bosch really flow 20-25% more volume than a 340 Walbro?

I was told yes..................... I know speed inc has takena single Bousch 420L to 720rwhp........ ive never seen a single 340 over mid 500's....... Ill be running dual 420L's in my new turbo setup.
Shooting for 800rwhp on a Mustang dyno.... should get it no prob.

I did the Racetronix (Walbro 340 in tank) and the Bosch 420 inline....what do you think my pumps can support? 700RWHP?

keep in mind that the walbro '340' is rated at 255lph.. not 340lph

dont know how much of a restricition the gss340 will be on a 420 inline.

In theory, the last pump see all of the pressure. Roughly, you could say the 420 will be pumping against the 58psi and see what it pumps at that pressure....then look at the walbro curve at say 20psi and see what that rate is...and compare.

thats a great point onfire that i have not thought of before..

the flow of the walbro would go up greatly because it it not holding the pressure... i bet it is not a restriciton at all....

on second thought, the most a gss340 can flow at even 0psi pressure is 321 lph.

i dont know how the 420 is rated, but either way 321 is less than 420 so it would seem to me to be a restriciton at that point.. thoughts?

It would be nice to see a 420 flow curve vs pressure at 12.5v and at 16v...then we could really make a projection. A boost a pump on a 340/420 combo would be a powerful combo.

I don't belong to the site, is there a chance you could share the resul ts with us? I would like to see if I have done something bad for my fuel system and if I should make some changes to it. IF you would reply via a PM that would be appreciated as well. Also, does Racetronix sell an boost a pump or equivilent? Do you think that would be a wise investment?

BTW, I love the Racetronix intank...keep up the good work

Thanks in advance

For FI applications the MSD pump booster is the best choice as it has MAP based pump voltage. Thunder Racing carries them here: http://www.thunderracing.com/catalog...5&sid=259#P690

Simply install the extra connector set supplied with your Racetronix system and plug the booster into the Racetronix harness. It looks something like this : http://www.racetronix.com/product/RX...FPWHG-2-PB.jpg
