Default anyone running the TSP 231/237 come in

i think i've finally made up my mind on which cam i'm going to run. i've searched and searched some more on it and the 231/237 seems to be what i want. i bought a set of 3.73s for my car and with mods in my sig how is this thing going to run? i give up on trying to get similar dyno numbers because i see so much variation in peoples setup that it isn't funny. where will i my peak power and torque be(roughly)? how hard am i going turn the motor versus with stock? hows does it drive? this is my daily driver and thats about the only thing that kept me from doing the T-Rex. I am going to get a TSP mailorder tune, so should i get them to shut off my rear 02s? i also have my AIR and EGR because of the visual inspection but should the be shut off also or won't it matter if they still work? thanks in advance for the help

i've seen full bolt on cars start around 380 and get up to 400 i reached 387 and with a lil more tunning i really think we can get it to 400 in a full bolt on cam car. if you dont have cats then have tsp turn your o2's off. as far as an estimate i think you'll pull around the same numbers as me 387hp 360tq

The cam will peak around 6200-6300 rpms, so at the track I shift at 6700. I strongly suggest you get an LS6 intake, because this cam lives in the upper rpms... and that's where the LS1 intake because a choking point.

I have the 231/237. I love it. Make sure u have at least an LS6 intake otherwise you won't be happy with the results. As mentioned before, this cam loves to rev.

As a TSP231/237 user, I suggest getting a TSP233/239.

I made 445 at the wheels with AS 5.3 heads. It will idle rough but should be OK for a DD. I drive mine a lot onthe street when it's nice. I shif at about 6700. I agree the LS6 intake is a must. The better you let this cam breathe the better of you will be.

TQ was 409. No I don't have a graph as the floppy drive on Speed Inc.'s PC was broke. I will retune and redyno for upgraded injectors soon. Hope to get a graph out of that.

Yeah, The first time around it was 435 and 408. I think there is a graph of that somewhere on here. There was a preload issue with the comp R lifters and the cam fell off at 6100 like a rock. After the preload was set right it pulled the new numbers and the curve is flat as a board to over 6800.

Need to get the weight down (working on that) and I hope to see 11.2 out of the car. Times in the sig are with a Spec 3 that was on the rivets. I am not sure how it ran that well after pulling the clutch. Upgraded to a 4F and will drop about 250 lbs before spring.

i love my cam! for me its very streetable! love the power it makes. but i too need an ls6 intake. would probably help a whole lot. if youre worried about the cams lack of torque just spray it and that should solve your problem. thats what im going to do!!

Steve Burger,
I was wondering how much your heads were milled and did you have to flycut? Also how thick were your head gaskets? I have that cam along with a set of AS st2 5.3. I was worried about clearance. Thanks.
