Default Goal to make 400 HP

Want to make 400 RWHP naturally aspired on a 00' Ls1

Current Performance Mods: Flowmaster exhaust, SLP Short Shifter, SLP Lid, K & N Air Filter, SLP Strut Tower Brace, Whisper Ram Air Induction, Eibach Lowering Springs 1.5 drop, Bilstein Shocks, Ram Air Hood.

Want to get next;

Jet Hot Long Tube Headers w/ Cats, and Y-pipe 98-02 LS1
Borla 3'' Adjustable Cat-Back
electic cutouts
Z06 intake manifold

First where will I be after these mods (HP wise)
Would I need a new cam to put me in the 400 HP range
If I need a cam would would everything cost me; including all parts and labor
Can a stock rear axle handle that power, or would anything else need upgrading in that power range.

Yeah but i still need to get the exhaust and intake first and doing the head cam swap is a big commitment. I'll pratically be rebuilding the entire engine if I do that, with new push rods, retainers, pulleys, rocker arms, time chain, valve springs, and oil pump. If the do the cam I will just have to worry about the springs right?

I want a cam that will give me good power gains, but will be safe and streetable and also not kill my motor or have to change springs all the time. Is the hotcam a good option for me if I want to make only 400hp with all bolt ons.

theres two easy ways to do it in an M6 car and it depends on what your definition of streetable is:

Wild cam i.e TSP magic stick and full bolt ons (a cutout before the flowmaster of course)

Mild cam i.e. 224-228 duration, heads, and full bolt ons (a cutout before the flowmaster)

Call Futral Motorsports and they will tell you exactly what you need. I went with a F10 from Futral. I haven't dynoed yet but I'm expecting 400rwhp with what I have. My next mod will be a TB if I don't get it with what I have. One of the other guys in the southern section just did 422rwhp 410 or 415 rwtq without heads. He went with a F13 from Futral. I'll be dynoing March to see what I get after my car is retuned.

An 11:1 347 forged LS1 with stock crank will make 400 rwhp all day long. Such a motor will cost you $6000 or so from any one of the sponsors of this site.
