Default Stock Rear...What gears and gurdle????

I have a question to everyone about my rear. I just put a TCI 3000 stall in my 2000 WS6 A4 and was wondering what gears I should buy. I heard that anything higher than 3.73 would not work properly. What companies does everyone suggest and should I buy a gurdle also. Since the gurdle keeps constant pressure on your carrier bearings, how much power can this withstand? One last question, what is the harshist driving on your rear ex: downshifting on highway or launching out of the hole... Thanks Jason

Definitly go with 3.73s. I have used Motives and Richmonds on street cars, and haven't had a problem. The biggest shock to the rear is probably during the burnout. Burning out of the water and stopping immediatly on the dry surface. That wreaks havoc our little 7.5s. But, depending on how you launch, that would be harsher than downshifting.

Deff the 3.73's, I had them on my other a4 Fbods and just waiting to install them on my current 02, esp, with the 3000 stall comverter. For covers got for the T/A, it has better options than say the SLP. And dont forget to retune for your shift points and Speedo
