Oh for the love of GOD.

Gasket scraping, RTV everywhere. Bolts are all the same. It takes two people to lift a head into the engine bay. 37 different gaskets, all weird brands... are they right? Loosening all this sludge and carbon... is it holding something together? Wait...is it a metric or a standard bolt? How did the 14th person to tear this apart put it back together last time?

It's no 77 Jag V12... but a 5.0 teardown and rebuild sure makes an LS1 seem like Lego.

Can't I just mess with LSXs from now on? Please?

I have to agree- the LSX is VERY friendly compared to other engines I've done!

OH yeah!!! That is one big reason I love the LSX series engine.

I have no issues working on my LS1, I like LT1s too except the oil pan / timing chain cover.

Everything on the car is a 10mm bolt. :jest:

Yeah, LT1's are geniously made, specially stuffing HALF the motor under the firewall!

It actually is really easy, after you do it the first time that is.

They just put together an LS1 on Horsepower TV. Easy enough. There are lots of items to consider, but none of them difficult or too intellectually challenging.

maby i will have to have a mod party, since it would be fun to put in the forged or billet crank, titanium con rods. and all that stuff right??? especialy after i buy the house and epoxy coat the floor and everything... ah screw it ill just pay some one to do it :lol:
