Default Predator Programmer

If I buy the predator programmer will I need to get an aftermarket thermostat to lower my engine temperature to my desired level of 160 or will the predator be able to achieve this by itself.

you'll be able to change the automatic fan turn on temps but w/out a cooler thermostat coolant won't start flowing till later so won't help much

And even w/a 160* thermostat you're not going to run at 160* FYI ... it's supposed to let coolant in at 160* but I believe most actually open closer to 170 or 172 and the engine will still heat the coolant up...

If you're only buying a predator for that may want to look into some of the other tuning solutions...

Vinci Hand Held Programmer seems to be the best handheld device ... then there's HP Tuners for an all out tuning solution (scanner and tuner, but requires a laptop and has a steeper learning curve)
