Default Is it safe to buy used heads???
Well I am trying to put together a heads and cam package for my SS and I was woundering if it is safe to buy used heads? What do you all think?

yeah as long as they are in good condition and free of cracks or a possible core shift from over porting.

Look for a good deal. Depending upon the mileage and age, you may want to touch up the valve job and replace springs. watch for valve pitting on heads used on a nitrous car.
