Default Dyno Numbers for Ron Jeremy Cam

I couldn't be happier right now.

My first pull put down 373hp and after some amazing tuning by Alex Procter my car made 399 horsepower. Anyways, here's the numbers!

STP Corrected:
399 rwhp and 380 rwtq

Dynojet Corrected:
418 rwhp and 399 rwtq

The car feels amazingly different. Going from 370hp to nearly 400 horsepower was insane. I can't wait for the tracks to open back up this March!!

Big thanks to Alex Procter, KY Horsepower and of course Futral Motorsports for making such an amazing cam.

(PS: I'll add the graph up once I get an e-mail back from the dyno.)

What exactly are STP and DynoJet corrections? Never heard of those two.

Either way, those are awesome numbers!

STP is what the Superflo Dyno reads, it's a more true reading of horsepower. The Dynojet correction is the correction factor that Dynojet Dynos use. The Dynojet numbers are what the car would have put down on a Dynojet.

so whats the formula? i used the same dyno as you and i know it was way off from a dynojet, but i never heard of a "dynojet correction"

Good numbers, but which of those equate to SAE?

If you search under my username you'll see my experience with the F15. Assuming he made 400+ with it, that's not bad compared to how I fared.

On the same dyno when he was bolt-ons to now, he picked up over 40hp under the curve in all areas and 53 peak hp. 50 rwhp increase from a cam and tuning is not good?

That is the only change and he did it with 4.10's compared to when he was bolt ons and 3.42's.
Impressive if you ask me.

50rwhp increase is good ... but 399 or 418rwhp i don't even know which number is the right one doesn't seem impressive for that size of a cam

maybe he's missin some bolt-ons then?

418 hp in a cam only car with 4:10's is DAMN GOOD. i dont care how you look at it.

You can't compare dyno numbers to different cars at different dynos. I would love to see some of the "higher" dyno cars come to this dyno as I would love to see some of the faster cam only cars run at our local track.

I put down 407 rwhp on this dyno with my x2 and I trapped 119 in a 3600lb car. You do the math.

ok ok, i give ... awesome numbers man .... congrats

btw on a side note, 2000ws6 - i did do the math using an online calculator and you'd need ~473rwhp to get that 119mph @ 3600lbs ... you really think the dyno was off by ~66rwhp? just askin

I am more than happy with the results. Dyno numbers don't matter anyways right?

My mods are:
Hooker Long Tubes
TSP True Duals
MTI Clear Lid
4.10 gears

There's several bolt-ons I could still add. I plan on putting a pulley on sometime in the near future.

Not to get off topic, but when my raceweight was 3600# I ran 119-120 traps w/434rwhp.

Back on topic, nice dyno numbers, but can't they just do an SAE correction?

Thats my point, this dyno reads lower than most and I have seen other x2 and x3 cars make over 420 rwhp on a Dynojet.

The conversion factor for my car on this dyno when I dynoed was 1.05. Multiply that to my 407rwhp on this dynp puts me at 427 rwhp on a dynojet.

Trap speed reflects power and thats what I go by. Dyno is only to be used for a tuning tool and nothing more.

Agreed, and that sounds about right on. My comment was more directed at the above poster who quoted 473rwhp to run 119 traps...

Glad to see you got the cam installed and tuned, good numbers for the few mods you have and with the 4.10's.
