Default Assemblying Engine

Ok. I need everyones help on this one. I know it takes a lot to type on the keyboard and reply to a thred, but I need you guys to pitch in some info. I need to know has anyone milled their heads .040 and used a cam with more than 575 lift and 226 duration and assembled the engine and had it run ok without any clearance problems? I've been trying to clay and use a dial indicator to check my P to V clearance and I get a different measurement every time. If you have used this big of a cam and milled your LS1 heads .040 or even .030 and cleared PLEASE let me know before I put this motor together and bend all my valves!

well I finally got the same measurement 5 times in a row so I guess it looks like I'm going to need to cut the pistons a little. I have .058 on intake and .090 on exhaust. I could probly run with that, but I want to be safe and just cut a little out of the piston. Oh well!
