Been wondering the same thing myself. I bet you're looking at around $400.

I'm paying 200 for mine to have the TC and cooler installed. Haven't asked about the shift kit yet. Probably another 50-100. Make sure you call around and ask some local f-bod owners for some good shops. I recieved several quotes from 500-600 for just the TC install by ls1 shops and regular trans shops. Keep looking till you find a shop with a reasonable price and one you're comfortable with.

It cost me $325 to have just the TC installed. I was quoted $250 from another shop but it was gonna be a week or more before they could get to it. I'm inpatient....

Do the cooler yourself, it's a piece of cake.

I've got quoted 500 bucks for a shift kit including installation and 500 bucks paid for my transmission installation. Yes, some transmission shops will not want to install a shift kit and some didn't want to install my transmsion. Also, when asked for a rebuild price for a stock Camaro z28 transmission, they said 2 grand was not enough to build a good transmission for the power a z28 makes. Out of the 5, 4 said 3 grand or more to build a tough 4L60-E, one quoted me at $850 dollars for a partial rebuild just change the 3-4 clutch paks, then he said he had a used transmission for my Camaro and with installation he will charge me $890 dollars. I said no, because the tranny already had 70,000 miles and he then no longer wanted to rebuild my transmission, but instead installed a rebuilt transmission for 500 and had to swap front pump at no extra charge. So at the end Im pleased with my transmission. It shifts hard into 2nd.

well I had a 3200 and 3600 stall in my car w/just bolt-ons, no shift kit, just shift points w/HPP3 with not issues, but as soon as I went to a 4000+ stall and the TM was kicking in (pulling timing) I got the car professionally tuned (on the street, not dyno). You can adjust things like Line Pressure and other things to help your trans a little better...read the sticky at the top of this forum or do a search in the tuning forum about it. Make a few runs at the track and monitor w/ATAP and see how its doing first before spending money on tuning, especially if you plan to go with a 3500 or smaller.
