Default Killed by a Rousch...

Just cruising along, when I see this White newer looking stang(about 03-04 body style) with blue racing stripes. It had a body kit, and Rousch badges on it. Looked badass. It also said 360A along the bottom. We lined up, I spoke to him for a bit, young guy, said there were like only 80 rousches made for the particular year. Had a sweet sounding exhaust, he said it was just a catback, and said his car ran an 11.4 at 120mph+ at Moroso. I was screwed.
We take off really easy, not really racing(not sure if cops were about), I gun it, getting the jump on him(I stole the hit?), then I hear the hellish supercharger whine from behind me, and he easily passes me at around 80-90ish or so. He turns off, I give him the thumbs up. Nice car, nice guy.
I definately need that cam installed bad, but I still woulda lost. Now I know what those supercharged freaks can do.
It's not like racing a riced out civic or a mid-nineties bmw 5 series which I blew away a day ago. Oh well, win some lose some.

Good story...no shame in losing to a quicker car. Wonder what kind of power he was putting down to hit 11.4?

Was it supercharged from the factory? There is a pretty good looking lady around here that has one. I didnt know they were much more than an appearance package.

The stage three rousch is supercharged from the factory and will put down mid to low 12's with a good driver.

i think the 360R's were only made in 02-03. they are just like the stage 3's except they have rear-exit exhaust instead of side exhaust. i think they dyno around the 350 rwhp range also.

It could be an 03 Cobra with a Roush body kit on it....I have friends that work at Roush, and some customers order the 03 Cobra instead of the GT....pretty good idea if you ask me...the only Roush Stage that has some performance is III, the others (I & II) suck...

stage 1 roush is just cai and side exhaust...minor stuff...you dont have to worry about anything until the 380r or the 440a. both have blowers, i know for sure the 440a has all upgraded suspension, ratchet shifter, pulley, exhaust, and a bracket for the pulley system, incase you blow up the blower you can still drive on the motor just fine. puts out over 400 rwhp. i almost bought one...but 50k was just too much for me and i hate fords..but this was just an awesome car..

the stage 1's came in V6 and V8 form. if it was a V6 stage 1 then it didn't get the CAI.
