for those of you with guages
are they the same color as everything else in your car (the illumination)? if not, does it bother you? i want the autometer cobalt one, since they light up the numbers and not the whole guage...but they dont come in red... so i might just get them anyway and suck it up

The Phantom Gauges are lit by a bulb in the back that plugs in. The bulb is clear but the package came with red and green translucent covers for the bulbs. Others have colored the bulbs by spraying a kandy over them. I sprayed nightshades on mine to darken them up.

The Cobalt gauges are LED lit so they don't get hot like incandescent bulb-lit gauges do.
I have the trans temp gauge in my driver AC vent.
I don't mind the difference in color at all, in fact my stereo head unit is an Eclipse which also illuminates blue.
Here's a pic with the garage door closed and the illumination on after the install :

FYI.....dyno-tune's digital gauges (red with black back ground) match the stock dash cluster allmost perfectly.
but i dunno if your lookin for digital or not...just an idea.
i have their nirtous and fuel pressure gauges and i love the look.

seems to me that trying to read a dig. a/f gauge, or a boost gauge would be harder since it changes constantly, but i could just quickly glance and see where the needle is.

three words for you:
autometer nexus series
If you want to make it look like stock, use those, no better gauges out there
